Unusually cold weather is forecast from the night of Sunday, 25 February 2018 through the morning of Saturday, 3 March 2018. As a consequence, following Merton Council's published aim for its allotments during Winter, the water supply may be off during the period. When the supply is off, there are no flushing toilets. Please use a bucket of water to clear the toilets, if you do use them in this state.

The Site has a single water supply for its stand pipes and tanks, its toilets and the kitchen in the John Gray Centre. Merton Council's published aim for its allotments is to turn off the supply every autumn and turn it on again in the spring. The intention is to protect the exposed parts of the system from the possible effects of icy weather.
