Allotment fees and charges

Merton Council has published allotment fees and charges for the years ended 30 September 2018 (2017/18) and 30 September 2019 (2018/19).

Standard allotment rent** per 25 sq m (1 rod) 2017/18 £ 19.30; 2018/19 £ 19.86

Rent** after concession* 2017/18 £ 13.50; 2018/19 £ 13.90

Water rate per 25 sq m (1 rod) 2017/18 £ 1.30; 2018/19 £ 1.68

Keys to site per key 2017/18 and 2018/19 £ 6.00

* Concessions are available for: Disabled persons and those aged 60 and over and not in full time employment. Holders of ES40 or recipients of supplementary benefits, juniors. Concessions are allowed on a maximum of 250 sq m (10 rods) per tenant and only apply to London Borough of Merton residents or those working in or attending full time education in the borough. To be eligible for a concession on allotment rent, proof of entitlement must be received no later than 1 September to receive a discount for the coming year commencing 1 October.

** Between 1 October to 28 (or 29) February tenants will be charged a full year's rent. From 1 March to 31 July tenants will be charged for half the rental year. Invoices for allotment rent are due 1 October annually.
